Kara A. Zarchin

Background

Kara A. Zarchin is an Associate in Cummings & Lockwood's Litigation Group and is based in the Stamford office where she primarily practices in the areas of commercial litigation, trust and probate litigation, and bankruptcy and creditors’ rights. 

Kara has advocated on behalf of clients in state and federal jurisdictions, as well as in arbitration proceedings. She is an experienced appellate advocate and has represented clients in appeals in state and federal courts. Kara also has experience advising insurance companies in coverage and reinsurance disputes and has served as national counsel to a major insurance company, managing direct actions against the company.

Prior to entering private practice, Kara clerked for the Honorable Justice Richard N. Palmer of the Connecticut Supreme Court. She previously also interned for the Honorable Dominic J. Squatrito of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.
