Ethics and Skills for Newly Admitted New York Attorneys 2016
January 26, 2016
Conrad Teitell, Partner in the Stamford Private Clients Group will be participating in a seminar for newly admitted New York attorneys. Conrad's topic will be "Presentation Skills for New Lawyers".
Today’s new lawyers are expected to demonstrate a strong understanding of professional skills that aren’t always offered in law school. Many of these lessons are learned on the job – sometimes through mistakes. With Bridge-the-Gap I, attendees are taught some common skills and insights that more new lawyers are being challenged to know from day one and our seasoned legal expert faculty are eager to share their insights on how newly-admitted attorneys can avoid potential mistakes and start their careers one step ahead.
Newly admitted attorneys in New York State are required, during each of their first two years after admission to the Bar, to complete at least 16 transitional CLE credit hours in ethics and professionalism, skills and law practice management and/or areas of professional practice. This program will give attendees a chance to fulfill ethics and skills CLE requirements.
PLI’s Bridge-the-Gap I and II for Newly Admitted New York Attorneys programs include different course offerings, and may be taken in either order to meet your two-year requirements for newly admitted attorneys. If you have already attended a PLI Bridge-the-Gap I program, you cannot attend a second Bridge-the-Gap I program and receive MCLE credit.
