BACKGROUND

Philip M. Drake is a Principal in Cummings & Lockwood's Private Clients Group and is based in the Greenwich office.  Phil began his law practice in 1951 at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York City doing tax work. 

Two years later he was sworn in as Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York.  In 1955 he joined Cummings & Lockwood in Stamford, Connecticut. 

He subsequently opened a branch office of the Firm in Greenwich, Connecticut where he has practiced for over 55 years.  He is also a former Managing Partner of the Firm.
