Jonathan B. Mills, Chairman of the Firm and resident in the Firm's Stamford office, received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

He joined Cummings & Lockwood upon his graduation from law school.  Jon's practice is primarily in the area of commercial real estate, including leasing, sales, acquisitions and financings.  Jon represents numerous leading companies, developers and institutions with respect to their holdings in Connecticut and other parts of the country.  He also works regularly with the Firm's Private Clients Group, serving as a fiduciary and advisor to a number of families in connection with their estate and trust administration matters.

Jon has written articles on various commercial real estate and private client-related topics.  For over the past ten years, he has been included in The Best Lawyers in America.  Jon is also recognized in Connecticut Super Lawyers and New England Super Lawyers, as well as in Connecticut Magazine's and New York Magazine's list of top real estate lawyers in the Connecticut and New York metropolitan areas.  He has consistently received the highest available AV-rating in the national legal peer review directory, Martindale-Hubbell.

In addition to Jon's work at Cummings & Lockwood, he has served on various boards and committees for The United Way, The March of Dimes, The USO of Metropolitan New York, The Norwalk Community College Foundation, The Stamford Symphony, and other organizations.
