John F. Carberry | Principal Download V-Card
John F. Carberry is a graduate of Fordham University and received his J.D., cum laude, from New York Law School, where he was articles editor of the New York Law School Law Review. Prior to joining Cummings & Lockwood, he was in-house counsel to Texaco Inc. in its White Plains, New York, headquarters where he worked on a variety of matters, including Texaco's Chapter 11 case. John joined Cummings & Lockwood in 1988 and is resident in the Firm's Stamford office. His litigation practice is concentrated in the areas of commercial litigation, bankruptcy and creditors' rights. John has litigated numerous cases before the state and federal courts in Connecticut, and New York and the bankruptcy courts in Connecticut, New York, Delaware, Florida and Georgia, including cases where issues of first impression under Connecticut law and federal law have been involved. He is an active member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute. John serves as a fact finder, arbitrator, attorney trial referee and special master for the Connecticut Superior Court. John has received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell which is their highest attorney rating. | |||||
