Howard S. Tuthill III ("Terry") focuses his practice in the areas of estate planning and administration with particular emphasis on asset management, estate and gift tax planning for large family groups and senior executives of major corporations, transfer of family wealth planning for closely held businesses and estates and trust administration. He joined Cummings & Lockwood in 1993 after practicing for 14 years with the New York law firm of Kelley Drye & Warren, and seven years with the Connecticut law firm of Cross, Brodrick & Chipman. Terry graduated from St. Lawrence University in 1969 and received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1972. He is a frequent writer and guest lecturer on a variety of estate planning topics and a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. Terry is a member of the American Bar Association as well as the Connecticut Bar Association, and is the past chair of the Estates and Probate Section. He is admitted to practice in the states of Connecticut and New York.
