Gina D. Silvestri joined Cummings & Lockwood as an associate in the Private Clients Group of the Hartford office in 1989 and became a Principal in 1998.  Her practice focuses on estate and gift tax planning, asset protection, charitable planning and estate and trust administration.  Gina has spoken before numerous groups and has authored several articles on estate planning and tax developments.  She received her B.A., cum laude, in 1986 from Northwestern University and her J.D. from the University of Southern California Law Center in 1989.

Gina is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and serves on the Asset Protection Committee.  She is a member of the Estate Planning Council of New York City and is the former President of the Hartford Estate and Business Planning Council.  Gina has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America every year since 1988, and is also listed in Super Lawyers Magazine .  Gina has been honored by Connecticut Magazine, New York Magazine, and Hartford Magazine as one of the best estate planning attorneys in Connecticut.

Gina has served on the Legal and Tax Panel of the Endowment Foundation of the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford since 1990 and has served on the Professional Advisory Committees of the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, the Connecticut Council for Philanthropy and the American Heart Association.  She has also served as a Trustee of the Board of Directors of the Wheeler Clinic.  Gina is a member of the Council of 100, a career advisory organization of Northwestern University alumnae.
