Deborah L. Russell, a principal of Cummings & Lockwood LLC in the Naples office, is admitted to practice in Florida and before the United States Tax Court and District Court for the middle district of Florida.  Deborah focuses her practice in the fields of estate planning, charitable gift planning, trust and estate administration and post mortem tax strategies.  She is Board Certified in the area of Wills, Trusts and Estates.

Deborah received her B.S.B.A. in real estate and urban analysis, with high honors, from the University of Florida and a J.D., summa cum laude, from the Stetson University College of Law.  She is a member of the Florida, American and Collier County Bar Associations.  Deborah is an active member of the Executive Council of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar and chairs the Wills, Trusts and Estates Board Certification Review Course Committee.  She is a frequent speaker on estate planning and estate administration topics.

Deborah has an AV® Preeminent™ rating by Martindale-Hubbell.  She has been named in Best Lawyers® by Woodard/White, Inc. for the years 2008-2011 and as a Florida Super Lawyer for the years 2007-2011. 

In addition to her professional activities, Deborah serves as a Trustee of the Community Foundation of Collier County, Director of the Neighborhood Health Clinic and member of the Professional Capabilities Committee and the Foundation Committee of Naples Community Hospital.  Deborah was recently recognized as a “Woman of Initiative of Collier County” for her many contributions to the community.
