David W. Thal joined Cummings & Lockwood in 2011 as an associate in the Private Clients Group. David focuses his practice on estate planning for individuals and their families, and also has experience in estate administration, domestic and international trust administration, and planning for international clients. He concentrates on structuring Wills, Trusts, and business entities to suit the personal, tax and financial goals of each client.
David received his B.A. in English from Williams College in 2003, his J.D. from University of Connecticut in 2009 with a Certificate in Tax Studies, and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University in 2010. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York.
Prior to joining Cummings & Lockwood, David was an associate at Withers Bergman LLP in New Haven, Connecticut, where he practiced in the areas of international estate planning, voluntary disclosure and business succession planning.
