Daniel G. Johnson is principal-in-charge of Cummings & Lockwood’s Stamford office and is a member of the Private Clients Group, which he joined in 1997. Dan practices primarily in the areas of estate planning, family business succession planning, estate administration and trust administration. He is an author of Settlement of Estates in Connecticut 3d. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts and is a member of the Bar Associations for all three states and the Estates and Probate Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. Dan frequently lectures on estate and tax planning topics to both lawyer and non-lawyer audiences.
Dan received his B.A. from Georgetown University, cum laude, and his J.D. from University of Virginia Law School. He was a 2010 recipient of the Fairfield County Business Journal “40 under 40” Award which recognizes extraordinary business leadership and success in the field of law. Dan served on the Junior Committee for the Little Sisters of the Assumption in East Harlem from 2003-2005 and is currently the Treasurer of the Board of Materials for the Arts, which is the largest supplier of art supplies for public schools in New York City.
