Daniel P. Fitzgerald joined Cummings & Lockwood in 2007 as an associate in the Private Clients Group. His areas of practice include estate planning, taxation, and estate administration. Prior to joining the Firm, Dan was an associate in the trusts and estate planning group at Ivey, Barnum & O’Mara, LLC.
Dan was born and raised in New Milford, Connecticut. He graduated from Lafayette College with a B.A. in Economics and Business. While at Lafayette, he was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon Honor Society for Economics. Dan graduated, cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law where he was lead articles editor of the Syracuse Journal of International Law and Commerce and a member of the Justinian Honorary Law Society. Dan also received a LL.M. (Masters of Law) in Taxation from New York University School of Law. Dan serves on the board of Meals-On-Wheels Greenwich,Community Answers, Inc. and the Greenwich Bar Association.
